Muscle and Bone Pain

Author: Joe and Elsa Willis

Summary: Arthritis, gout, sore muscles, and aching bones can be remedied with simple and inexpensive plant-based treatments.

Cabbage

Cabbage well chopped and wrapped in muslin can be applied to painful areas. A cabbage hot compress will offer much relief for the following ailments:

  • muscle aches
  • sciatica
  • neuraglia
  • rheumatism
  • arthritis
  • migraines

Eucalyptus

Bathe sprained or aching body parts with hot water or apply a warm cloth to open the pores. Spray V-VAX eucalyptus oil on the areas and massage well for at least one minute. Respray the area and massage again. Apply lotion to help seal in the V-VAX oil.

Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil is a great massage oil for cramps, spasms, muscular pain, lower back pain, sports injuries, and stiffness of shoulders and joints.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes can help relieve the pain of gout, arthritis, or other forms of rheumatism.

Those with gout or rhuematism should consume a large glass of freshly pressed tomato juice every day throughout the summer. For a refinement of flavor, add bit of celery juice to it.

These remedies are adapted from the book Healing Edibles & Other Home Remedies by Joe and Elsa Willis. Joe and Elsa Willis run Maranatha Medical Ministries, an medical outreach center in the mountains of Honduras. They help surrounding villagers with their health issues using principles of healthful living and the natural means God has given. Their assistance to the poor of Honduras has made a huge difference in the lives of many.
